Higgins in 2017 (Fr.), 2018 (So.), 2019 (Jr.): A member of the Navy football team, he did not play lacrosse.

On the football field: A starter in 26 games over his career, including each of the last 25 contests ... elected by his teammates to serve one of four team captains for the 2019 season ... elected the 2019 Captain of the Captains by all sport captains ... named a semifinalist for the 2019 Jason Witten Man of the Year Award honoring those men who have demonstrated a record of leadership by exhibiting exceptional courage, integrity and sportsmanship both on and off the field ... a member of Navy’s offensive line that was an honorable mention selection for the 2019 Joe Moore Award ... the line allowed Navy to rush for a school-record and nation’s-best 363.7 yards in 2019 ... over his four seasons as a member of the football team, Navy posted a 29-23 record, earned a share of the American Athletic Conference West Division title in 2019 and outright in 2016 and won the Commander-In-Chief’s Trophy in 2019 ... earned three varsity letters.
