Biography

2025 // Junior Year
• Appeared in 11 contests where he produced 9 points on 6 goals and 3 assists ... ended the season with an active 5-game point-scoring streak
• Scored a goal in his 3rd-consecutive contest with a strike against Lafayette in the Patriot League Quarterfinals
• Stretched his point-scoring streak to 4 in a row thanks to a goal and an assist in the win at Bucknell ... it marked the first multi-point game of his career
• Scored an unassisted goal against #12 Loyola, his 1st against a Patriot League opponent
• Recorded his 2nd assist in as many games with a helper against #5 Army
• Dealt out his 1st-collegiate assist in the Mids’ win over Lafayette
• Punched in his 3rd goal of the season (goals in 3 of the 4 gms), scoring the Mids’ first goal at #10 Penn State 
• Was 1 of 8 different players to score during the Mids’ 8-1 run against #18 Towson between the 1st and 2nd quarters that led to Navy’s 1st lead, a lead it would not relinquish
• Scored his 1st-collegiate goal in Navy’s opener at High Point ... it was his 1st action since his freshman year (Boston, 3.31) after missing last year with an injury

• Missed the season due to injury

2023 // Freshman Year
• Sidelined the entire fall with a shoulder injury, he returned to practice in mid-March
• Appeared in 3 contests, including making his collegiate debut in the Mids’ loss to #7 Villanova where he took a shot and grabbed a ground ball

High School 
• 2021 graduate of Massapequa High School in Massapequa, N.Y.
• Lacrosse letter winner who garnered All-County recognition as a senior
• Led Massapequa to the state title in 2019
• Originally committed to play at Albany

• Son of Lenny and Nancy Nichtern
• His service assignment is Marine Corps Ground
• Majoring in Quantitative Economics, owns a 3.20 grade-point average
• Has earned Commandant’s (F2023, S2025) List accolades multiple times
• Attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2021-22 academic year
• Brother, Brendan, is a 2022 graduate of Army where he graduated as one of the best players in Army lacrosse history ... he was a three-time All-American attackman, two-time Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year and a finalist for the 2022 Tewaaraton Award ... he graduated as the program’s leader in career points (284) and assists (168) and ranks second in both categories in the Patriot League record book ... he went on to be named the Premier Lacrosse League Rookie of the Year in the fall of 2022
