2023-24 (Freshman Season): HONORS: Patriot League Men’s Rookie of the Week (Dec. 5), (Jan. 16), (Jan. 23), (April, 30) … INDOORS: Finished fifth in the high jump (2.03m / 6’ 7.75”) at the Patriot League Championship … Won his first collegiate event in the high jump at the Princeton Dual with a mark of 2.08m (6’ 9.75”) … Recorded a season-best high jump of 2.09m (6’ 9.75) at the Wesley A. Brown Invitational … Finished fifth in the high jump (1.99m / 6’ 6.25”) in the Army-Navy star Meet … OUTDOORS: Took third place in the high jump with a mark of 2.05m (6’ 8.75”) at the league championship … He won the high jump event three times during the season at the Westmont Dual (2.08m / 6’ 9.75”), Virginia Grand Prix (2.03m / 6” 7.75”) and Navy Spring Invitational (2.01m / 6’ 7”).

High School: A 2023 graduate of Northwest Guilford High School in Greensboro, N.C. … Earned varsity letters in outdoor track and field (3), basketball (2) and indoor track and field (1) … A three-time all-conference, all-region and all-state recipient in the high jump (outdoor) … Also claimed outdoor all-country accolades junior season … Collected all-conference, all-county and all-state accolades in lone indoor season … Broke Northwest Guilford’s high jump record with a jump of 2.05m (6’ 9”) … Voted as MVP of outdoor team three times and indoor team once … Served as a captain of outdoor team junior and senior years and indoor team senior season … Member of student council and National Honor Society … Served as class president sophomore year and student body president junior year … Was also elected class secretary junior year.
 
Personal: Son of Ward and Rachel Ulmer … Father, Ward, is the co-president of West Coast University and played baseball at Charleston Southern.
