Responsibilities: Director of Rehabilitation, Football, Golf
Brady Mellinger, PT, DPT, LAT, ATC, serves as the Director of Rehabilitation for Navy's athletic department. He was promoted to this position in June of 2025 after serving as an assistant athletic trainer for the football and golf programs during the 2024-25 academic year.
Prior to coming to Annapolis, Mellinger garnered experience with the NFL's Denver Broncos from May 2023 to February 2024 as a full-time season athletic intern, as well as with the University of Pittsburgh's athletic department, specifically with its baseball program and summer youth camps during his time working on his graduate degree at the school. As an undergrad, he received experience with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pitt football team and West Allegheny High School.
Additionally, Mellinger worked in physical therapy at Duke University, Pitt and UPMC. At Duke, he was a PT student and evaluated and rehabilitated patients, athletes and golf with various non-operative and postoperative conditions under a supervising physical therapist.
He has a pair of degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, as he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy graduate degree in 2023 and his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2020.
Mellinger is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, National Athletic Trainers' Association and Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Society.
