Responsibilities: Director of Rehabilitation, Football, Golf
Brady Mellinger, PT, DPT, LAT, ATC, serves as the Director of Rehabilitation for Navy's athletic department. He was promoted to this position in June of 2025 after serving as an assistant athletic trainer for the football and golf programs during the 2024-25 academic year.
Prior to coming to Annapolis, Mellinger garnered experience with the NFL's Denver Broncos from May 2023 to February 2024 as a full-time Seasonal Athletic Training Intern. He implemented rehabilitation programs, traveled with the team, and cooperated with other seasonal interns to complete a multitude of assigned tasks and mentor summer interns.
He earned both his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (Class of 2023) and Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training (Class of 2020) from the University of Pittsburgh. During his graduate and undergraduate education, he gained valuable clinical experience in a variety of settings, including Duke Health’s physical therapy and sports medicine clinic, Pitt Football, and multiple UPMC clinics. As an undergrad, he also completed a Seasonal Athletic Training Internship with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mellinger is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and National Athletic Trainers' Association.
