Naval Academy Athletics

Ian Martinez is in his first season at Navy as the Director of Recruiting.  Martinez comes to Navy from East Carolina where he was the Director of Scouting for one season.  

Prior to coming to Greenville, Martinez worked for two-plus years at Appalachian State (2023-25) as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel. 
 
Martinez has also served as the Director of Player Personnel at Louisiana-Monroe in 2022 and was a football operations assistant at Miami from 2019-20. 

Martinez is a December 2018 graduate of Arizona where he earned a degree in sports studies.
