Davis Finishes Fourth in the 500m at the ECAC Championship

Sophomore Tineisha Davis (Madisonville, Ky.) finished fourth in the 500m with a time of 1:12:56 at the ECAC Championhip to earn a provisional-qualifying time for next weekend's NCAA Championship in Fayetteville, Ark.  Davis garnered a place in the finals today after setting a Naval Academy-record time of 1:12.54 yesterday during the preliminary round to finish as the No. 2 seed.

Indoor team captain Joanne Uwujaren (Burke, Va.) also competed for the Mids today, setting a new career-best mark in the triple jump with a leap of 38'10", one-inch further than her previous best.

While Davis will participate in the NCAAs to conclude the indoor season, the rest of the Navy team will compete in their first-outdoor meet of the season Saturday at the Point Loma Invitational in San Diego, Calif.
