Sunfest Open Ocean Swim Cancelled

The Sunfest Open Ocean Swim, slated to be held Saturday in Ocean City, Md., and to feature swimmers from the Navy men's and women's swimming teams, has been cancelled due to expected weather problems relating from Hurricane Isabel.

All other Navy athletic events for this weekend currenty are to be contested as scheduled, however all events are subject to change based upon weather and road conditions. Please check www.navysports.com for further updates.

The Navy swimming and diving teams will open their regular season Oct. 3 when the Midshipmen play host to Air Force in Lejeune Hall.
