Navy Sprint Football Set to Scrimmage on Saturday

The Navy sprint football team continues to gear up for the 2003 season opener by holding a Blue and Gold scrimmage Sat., Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. on Rip Miller Field.
?It?s our second scrimmage and we?re going to treat it like a game,? noted head coach Maj. Jerome Rizzo, USMC. ?We?re still just trying to evaluate our personnel and get the guys ready for the Johns Hopkins game [on Sept. 14].?
The 2003 squad looks to defend Navy?s back-to-back Collegiate Sprint Football League titles from the previous two seasons. The Mids return 17 starters from last year?s team that posted a perfect 7-0 record.
