Team Captains

Captain Carter Reading, USMC announced that seniors
Seamas Carrasco and
Kerry Johnson will be team captains for the 2025 campaign. Carrasco will serve as the defensive captain, while Johnson will captain the offense.
Entering his final season, Carrasco has played in 21 games, recording 46 total tackles, including 28 solo stops, while notching 1.5 tackles for loss, 13 pass breakups, and six interceptions with an INT returned for a touchdown. For his efforts during the 2024 season, he was named First Team All-Collegiate Sprint Football League.
Johnson is a two-year starter on the offensive line, who was named First Team All-CSFL as a junior. He has helped anchor an offensive line that has amassed 3,479 rushing yards and 2,432 passing yards over the last two seasons for 5,911 yards of total offense (369.4 yards per game).
All-Time Series
Navy leads the all-time series between the two teams, 63-13-2. The Midshipmen are 28-9-1 against the Big Red on the road. Last season, Navy posted a 49-0 victory over Cornell in Annapolis. The last time the two teams met in Ithaca, N.Y., the Mids bested the Big Red, 58-6, during the 2023 season.
Season in Review
In 2024, the Navy sprint football team posted a 6-2 overall record, including a 3-0 mark in the CSFL South Division and a spot in the CSFL Championship Game.
As a team, Navy scored 209 points (26.1 pts per game), while holding opponents to 88 (11.0) with three shutouts. The Mids amassed 1,688 yards rushing with 1,180 passing yards for 2,868 yards of total offense. Navy scored 27 total touchdowns with eight field goals, while limiting opponents to 14 total scores (12 TD, 2 FG). The Mids' defense picked off 14 passes, while registering 56 tackles for loss with 19 sacks and adding 17 pass breakups.
At the conclusion of the season, the CSFL announced its 2024 postseason list of All-League honorees and Navy had 13 different players earn All-Conference accolades.
