Bergman Finishes as High Collegiate at 2004 Nationals

Fort Benning, Ga. -- Rising sophomore Sarah Bergman (Fort Mill, S.C./Fort Mill) posted a fifth-place finish in smallbore at the 2004 National Championships. Bergman tallied an 1133 to finish as the top-collegiate competitor and claim her class title. She missed making the national team by a few tenths of a point (with a final mark of 1231.7).
Bergman, a CRCA All-Collegiate and NRA All-American in her freshman campaign, concentrated on air rifle during the collegiate season. Her best smallbore score of the season was an 1128, which she set against Coast Guard on Jan. 17.
