ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy intercollegiate sailing team continues its season this weekend, participating in four regattas.
The co-ed Team is also traveling to Connecticut College for the Thompson Trophy. Eighteen teams from around the country will attend, sailing Flying Juniors. Garth Fasano, Kristen Sproat and John Appelbaum will be sailing in A division. John Keith, Lauren Sutehall and Chuck Fulmer will be sailing in B division.
The co-ed team is also travelling to the Delaware Spring Open at Two Rivers Yacht Basin. Eleven teams will attend, sailing Flying Juniors. Dave Parker and Amanda Burney will be sailing A division. Ian Gill and John Leone will be sailing B division.
The women's Team is traveling to their qualifier for Nationals. The MAISA Women's Qualifier will be hosted by Georgetown University and will be sailed in Flying Juniors. Fourteen teams from our district will compete for the top four spots qualifying for Nationals to be held at the University of Texas on June 1-3. Katie Whitman, Slava Haywas and Cat Long will be sailing A division. Charlotte Hill, Andrea White and Kristen Ullman will be sailing B division.
Lastly, the co-ed Team is traveling to Cornell for the MAISA Open. This regatta is the freshman spring championship. Eleven teams will be competing in 420's. Cullen Shaughnessy, Krysta Anthony and Kevin Peartree will be sailing in A division. Rob Ramirez, Mike Mullee and Xander Campbell will be sailing B division.
