Navy will play its second straight game against a Division III foe on Wednesday, battling Washington (Md.) at 7:00 pm at Alumni Hall on Wednesday night. The Mids, 8-3 overall, are coming off a defensive-minded 65-40 win over Delaware Valley College on Sunday afternoon, while Washington (Md.) is 2-6 overall after Monday's win over Keystone College, 61-55. Wednesday's game will be streamed online free at www.navysports.com, and will be broadcast on the airwaves by Bob Socci on WNAV (1430 AM), as well as www.wnav.com and www.yahoosports.com.

Washington College (Md.) enters Wednesday night's game at Navy with a 2-6 overall record after snapping a three-game losing streak on Monday night with a 61-55 win over Keystone College. The Shoremen have lost all four road games this year by an average margin of 16.0 ppg. Washington (Md.) has allowed six of eight foes to score over 70 points this year.
As a team, Washington is averaging 62.0 ppg, while allowing 74.2 ppg. The Shoremen are shooting just .384 from the field as a squad and just .316 from long distance. Their opponents are shooting .464 and .351 respectively. Opponents are also outrebounding Washington (Md.), 38.1 to 32.5.
Individually, senior forward and team captain Joey Breslin paces the Shoremen at 19.1 ppg. The 6-7 swingman is shooting .443 from the field and .756 from the line and also hauls down a team-best 7.9 rpg. Tim Kohlrus, a 6-3 sophomore guard, is also in double figures at 12.9 ppg and contributes 4.5 rpg.
Washington (Md.) has used the same five starters all season and gets just 13.2 ppg from its bench.
Delaware Valley Leftovers
• Navy held Delaware Valley College to just three field goals in the last 16:30 of the game, en route to the 25-point victory on Sunday.
• The 40 points surrendered by Navy is tied for the ninth fewest since record-keeping began in 1952-53.
• Corey Johnson, Adam Teague and Greg Sprink all hauled down at least eight rebounds against Delaware Valley.
• Navy made a season-low five three-pointers in the contest.
• Delaware Valley scored 26 of its 40 points in the last five minutes of the first half and the first 3:30 of the second half. During that stretch, the Aggie shot 10-of-15 (.667). In the other 31:30 of the contest, Delaware Valley scored just 14 points and went 5-of-36 (.139) from the field.
• Sophomore Brian Richards saw his first career action after getting a call-up from the JV team last week. He responded with four points, three rebounds and an assist in just 12 minutes.
