ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy men's track & field junior jumper Dante Marshall (Hermitage, Pa.) placed among the top-three in two events to lead the Midshipmen to victories over American, Penn and VCU on Saturday in Halsey Field House.

Navy won eight events and posted seven IC4A-qualifying efforts to rack up 201 points, while Penn accumulated 151 points to edge VCU's 141-point performance, while American totaled 57 points.

Marshall surpassed the IC4A standard in the triple jump for the second-straight week, posting a career-best distance of 48'0" (14.63 meters) to win the event. Earlier in the day, the junior placed third in the long jump with a career-longest mark of 22'10-1/2" (6.97 meters).

Two Navy middle distance runners produced IC4A-qualifying efforts in finishing first and second in the 800-meter run. Three other Mids also qualified for the IC4A Championship on Saturday. Senior Stephen White (Marietta, Ga.) cleared 6'10-3/4" (2.10 meters) to win the high jump, junior Lucas Burke (Bakersfield, Calif.) placed third in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:29.81 and junior Jeff Sarchione (Alliance, Ohio) finished fifth with a 4:13.51 clocking in the mile run.
