Final Stats
ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Pete Donahue's (So., Washington, D.C.) victories in a pair of events helped spark the Navy men's swimming and diving team to a 140-117 victory over Johns Hopkins, Friday night at Lejeune Hall.
Donahue, who did not win an individual event during the 2007-08 season, swept the two breaststroke events against the Blue Jays Friday, winning the 100 breast in a time of 1:06.31 and the 200 breast in a time of 2:23.33.
"I was very pleased with not just our overall performances, but also our efforts, with Pete's races really standing out to me," said Navy head coach Bill Roberts. "He had a great night."
Other Mids to pick up multiple victories on the night were Erik Hunter (So., Placerville, Calif.) in the 200 free (1:53.95) and 400 free (4:02.81), Andrew Hetzner (Jr., Riverside, Calif.) in the 100 backstroke (58.38) and 100 butterfly (57.59) and Jon Galinski (Sr., Phoenix, Md.) on the two diving boards.
Navy, now 4-0 on the season, will play host to UMBC Oct. 25 in Lejeune Hall. The women's meet between the two programs starts the doubleheader at 12 Noon, with the men's meet following at 2 p.m.
