WEST POINT, N.Y. - Navy gymnast Dylan Parrott (Fr./Rockwell, N.C.) brought home a medal in two events as three Midshipmen claimed medals in the individual event finals of the ECAC Championship at Army on Saturday night.
Parrott finished second on the high bar with a 13.95, a mark 0.60-point off the first-place score by William & Mary's Andrew Hunt. Parrott would claim the silver medal on the parallel bars with an impressive 14.8-point routine, just 0.05-point shy of Neal Thompson's first-place effort for Illinois-Chicago.
Christopher Tam (Sr./Draper, Utah) joined Parrott on the medal stand on Saturday, as he ranked third on the high bar with a 13.85. Tam also competed on the still rings, placing sixth with a 14.15 from the judges.
Adam Stanton (Jr./Centennial, Colo.) was crowned the ECAC champion on the pommel horse for the second-consecutive year, winning the event with an outstanding 14.75-point showing. Stanton also placed sixth on the still rings with a 14.15 and eighth on the parallel bars with a 13.35.
Joseph Atzenbeck (Jr./Broomfield, Colo.) saw action in two events on Saturday, landing fifth on the high bar with a 13.65 and sixth on the pommel horse with a 13.5 Grant Waldron (Fr./Columbia, Md.) finished fifth on the vault with a 15.1-point routine.
Navy will await to hear which individuals will advance to the NCAA Qualifying Meet in Palo Alto, Calif., on April 17. The top-10 gymnast in each event at that meet will partake in the NCAA Championship on April 18-19.
