ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA) has announced that season tickets for men's and women's soccer are now on sale for the upcoming seasons. The women's home schedule features nine home games, while the men's team will play seven games at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.

Navy soccer season tickets are just $60 for adults and $30 for youths (17 & younger). Season tickets include all regular-season men's and women's home games at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility, including the annual Star Games against Army. The women's team will host Army on Friday, Oct. 9 at 7:00 pm, while the men's team hosts the Black Knights on Sept. 26, at 8:00 pm. The men's game with Army will follow Navy's football game against West Kentucky, which begins at 3:30 pm that day.

The NAAA also has several promotions on tap as well. On the men's side, the popular "Meet the Mids" is scheduled for Sept. 6, following the tilt with Delaware. This is a chance to meet the team after the game and get autographs from your favorite players. Fans attending the season opener against Saint Joseph's on Sept. 4, will receive a free ticket to the Sept. 6 game against the Blue Hens.

For the Sept. 26 (Army), Oct. 3 (Bucknell) and Oct. 25 (Holy Cross) contests, fans showing their Navy football ticket stub at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility gates, will receive a free ticket to the Navy soccer game. The Army and Bucknell games have been pushed back to 8:00 pm to accomodate fans arriving from that afternoon's football games (Sept. 26 vs. Western Kentucky; Oct. 3 vs. Air Force). In addition, the contest against Army will be featured as JROTC Night (members of JROTC receive $2.00 admission) and Youth Soccer Night (come celebrate Youth Soccer Month with Navy featuring various t-shirt and spirit shaker giveaways).

On the women's side, Navy fans can 'Meet the Mids' during a special postgame autograph session after their contest against Boise State on Sunday, Aug. 30. The Navy women host their annual free youth soccer clinic on Sunday, Sept. 13, after hosting Liberty in a 1:00 pm tilt. When the Mids battle VMI on Friday, Sept. 18, at 7:00 pm, all tickets will be available for purchase for just $1. The game is being billed as Youth Soccer Night, where kids can receive a free Navy soccer T-shirt and spirit shakers while supplies last.

On Friday, Oct. 9, all students in attendance will receive admission with advanced purchase through NavySports.com to attend the annual Army-Navy Star Game. Two days later when the Mids take on Holy Cross (Oct. 11), NAAA will entertain a host of promotions as Billy the Kid Club members receive free admission and free food courtesy of Chick-Fil-A and Papa John's and fans will be treated to festivities throughout the afternoon as part of Navy Soccer Fest.

The Navy women's soccer team opens up its 2009 home schedule on Aug. 28 against Fairleigh Dickinson

Additionally, fans attending the Aug. 28 (Fairleigh Dickinson), Sept. 11 (James Madison) or Oct. 9 (Army) games are encouraged to 'Make it a Navy Soccer Weekend' and will receive complimentary admission to the Sunday contests on each of those weekends.

Under the guidance of 17th-year head coach Carin Gabarra, the Midshipmen women's soccer team returns six starters, 15 letterwinners and a pair of conference all-stars from a squad that won 15 games and claimed the program's seventh Patriot League regular-season title in 2008.

Dave Brandt, a six-time NCAA Champion and four-time NSCAA Coach of the Year at Messiah College, will enter his first season coaching the Navy men's soccer team. Brandt inherits 10 starters and 14 letterwinners from last year's team and welcomes a talented freshman class to Annapolis this fall.
