ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- NavySports.com recently sat down with Navy junior midfielder Wes Powell to find out more about the men's soccer player from Jackson, N.J. Powell will be remembered for last year's penalty-kick game-winning overtime goal in a driving rainstorm against Army. With the goal, Powell became just one of three players in school history with a pair of "Golden Goals", also scoring one against Adelphi as a freshman.
The Navy men's soccer team will open its season on Thursday, Sept. 2, when it hosts 2009 NCAA Tournament participant Wofford, at 7:00 pm at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
