ANNAPOLIS, Md.--Adam Teague ('09) scored a game-high 13 points to lead the Gold to a 66-62 victory over the Blue in the annual Navy Men's Basketball Alumni Game that saw 41 players come back to take part in the festivities.
Teague knocked down three three-point field goals to lead the Gold back from a six-point second half deficit. Franis Ebong ('03) added nine points, while David Hooper ('06) scored eight.
The Blue trailed by as many as nine early in the contest but rallied to take a six point lead behind the play of Hassan Booker ('98), who scored six points and handed out a game-high five assists. Ben Biles ('08) was the recipient of several of Booker's assists, scoring a team-high 11 points. David Robinson ('87), Vernon Butler ('86), Craig Prather ('89) and Kylor Whitaker ('86) scored six points apiece.
The Alumni game was held in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of Navy's 1986 Elite Eight team. Sixteen players, coaches and support staff were back to celebrate one of the greatest achievements in Navy Athletics.
