PHILADELPHIA - Junior Andrew Faulk won the all-around with a season-high score of 85.9, but it wasn't enough as Navy fell to 12th-ranked Temple, 340.2 -329.6, on Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia, Pa.
Faulk has now won five all-around titles this season and his 85.9 on Saturday eclipses his previous career-best score of 85.7 that he set earlier this season at the Navy Open.
On Saturday, Faulk placed in the top three of five of the six events. He took second on both the parallel bars and pommel horse with season-high scores of 14.3 and 14.5, respectively. He also placed second in the vault with a 15.6.
The junior registered a 14.2 on the floor exercise, to place third, and closed the meet with a 13.6 on the high bar, which was also good for third.
Senior Dylan Parrott won the floor exercise with a 14.6. He later tied for third on vault with a season-best total of 15.4.
Freshman Chris Junghans garnered his third consecutive third-place finish in the all-around with a score of 79.5.
As a team, Navy posted a season-best score of 60.7 in the vault.
With its dual competitions now over for the season, Navy will next be in action on Friday, March 25 when it takes part in the USAG Collegiate Division Championships in Springfield, Mass.
