ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Andrew Faulk captured his fourth all-around title of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Navy gymnastics team fell to William & Mary, 337.6 - 330.3, on Sunday afternoon in Williamsburg, Va.
"We're continuing to deal with some injuries right now, but we had a little bit of improvement today over last week," said Navy head coach Sho Fukushima.
Navy started the meet with Dylan Parrott (14.9) and Faulk (14.4) taking first and second place, respectively, on the floor exercise. With the two teams tied after the first event, William & Mary won the remaining five events en route to the win.
Faulk posted his second-highest score of the season in all-around, 85.6, as he picked up his fourth title in the last five meets. He won the pommel horse, with a score of 14.4, the vault, with a score of 15.6, and the high bar with a score of 14.0.
Parrott added a third-place finish in the high bar with a 13.4.
Freshman Chris Junghans landed in the top three of the all-around for the second consecutive week as he placed third with an 80.8.
Navy will be off next weekend before they wrap up the regular season with a dual meet at Temple on March 19.
"We are looking forward to the week off, it will be good to have some time to heal," Fukushima said.
