Familiar Foes

This weekend's field features five of the six EIGL teams and it will mark the third consecutive event in which Navy will see William & Mary. This weekend's event will also be the first of three straight meets in which the Mids and Black Knights will compete against each other. Army and Navy will meet again in two weeks at the All-Academy Championships and then again in the Star Meet on Feb. 23 back at West Point.

A Young Squad

With a combined 19 underclassmen that includes 12 freshmen and seven sophomores, Navy is the youngest NCAA Division I men's gymnastics team. Only Cal has more freshmen (13) than Navy, while the Mids are the only team in the nation without a senior on their roster.

The Last Time Out

Navy dropped its first dual of the season to William & Mary last Sunday in Annapolis, 412.85-398.45. The Mids improved their scores over their opening weekend performance in the Navy Open in three events (floor exercise, rings and vault), while Chris Junghans had the top all-around score of 80.55.

Up Next
Navy will be off next weekend, but will travel to the All-Academy Championships on Feb. 23 in Atlanta, Ga.
