ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Senior defender Jade Seabrook (St. Paris, Ohio) was named Patriot League Corvias Defender of the Week for the second-straight time, announced by the league on Monday.
Seabrook guided Navy to a 2-0 shutout of Holy Cross last week with the game-winning goal in the 50th minute from teammate Morgan Dankanich. Her four goals on the season is a career best and her 10 points (4g, 2a) is also a career best. Seabrook also held the Patriot League's leading scorer Aly Spencer, who has 10 goals, to three total shots, one of which was on net. It was the fifth time this season that Seabrook anchored a backline that blanked an opposing offense.
With the win, Navy moved into second place in the Patriot League with a 4-1-1 record. Navy can clinch a spot in the Patriot League tournament with a win over Lehigh on Wednesday in Bethlehem, Pa. The match is scheduled for 6 p.m. and can be seen live for free on PatriotLeague.TV.
