ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy junior forward Jamie Dubyoski has been named the College Soccer News National Player of the Week, the soccer website announced Monday. Dubyoski scored game-winning goals in back-to-back games last week, including in Navy's 2-1 win over #10 Maryland.

Dubyoski also earned a spot on the 12-member College Soccer News National Team of the Week and the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week. He is also this week's Corvais Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week and he is the NAAA Athlete of the Week presented by Rolls-Royce.

Dubyoski broke a 1-1 tie last Monday evening with his goal in the 53rd minute against Maryland, the 2013 NCAA runner-up. Dubyoski raced ahead to split two defenders after a pass was headed forward by junior Derek Vogel and he then chipped the shot over the Maryland goalkeeper, but under the crossbar, for the game-winner.

Dubyoski followed the Maryland performance with a three-point effort in Navy's 3-1 win at Central Connecticut State on Saturday. Dubyoski was credited with the game-winning goal on a header in the 27th minute and he also added an assist on sophomore Daniel Camuti's insurance goal in the 85th minute for a five-point week.

Dubyoski leads Navy with eight points and he shares the team lead of three goals with Camuti.

Dubyoski was the 2013 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year after scoring 23 points on 10 goals and three assists. He was also named to the NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team last season.

This is the second time that Dubyoski has been named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week. He was named to the national weekly honor roll on September 30, 2013 after scoring game-winning goals in back-to-back victories over Virginia Tech and Boston University.

Senior defender Joseph Greenspan was the last Mid to be named the College Soccer News National Player of the Week, as he was recognized on November 12, 2013 after scoring the game-winning goal in double overtime in Navy's 1-0 win over Army.

The Navy men's soccer team (3-1-1) has won three straight games and the Mids will next host George Washington on Tuesday at 7:00 PM.
