ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Currently riding a three-match unbeaten streak at 2-0-1, Navy women's soccer hosts Maryland Monday at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility at 5:30 p.m. Live video can be seen on the Patriot League Network via navysports.com and live statistics will be available also on navysports.com.

Scouting Navy's Opponent

Maryland(2-2):

• After starting the season 0-2, Maryland has strung together two-straight wins to begin the 2014 season 2-2. The Terrapins have tallied wins over William & Mary, 4-0 and N.C. State, 2-1.
• The Terrapins have a balanced attack with five different players scoring at least one goal. Maryland's shooting percentage on net is a solid .513 (20 shots on goal to 39 total shots).
• Junior forward Alex Doody leads the team with two goals, including a game-winner against William & Mary.
• Junior defender Shannon Collins has been Maryland's maestro on offense, tallying a team-best three assists, including two assists that lead to a 2-1 win over N.C. State
• Goalkeeper Rachel Beanlands has started all four games in net. Beanlands owns a 1.25 goals-against average and has tallied 16 saves on 21 shots. The junior goalkeeper blanked the Tribe of William & Mary, stopping all four shots on net.

All-Time Series vs. Maryland

• Maryland has Navy's number at the moment, leading the all-time series, 8-0, including a 2-0 record at Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
• Navy and Maryland faced off last season on Sept. 1 at Ludwig Field in College Park, Maryland, as the Terrapins bested Navy, 2-0. The Mids had the Terrapins on the ropes with the match tied 0-0 through 70 minutes. It wasn't until current redshirt-sophomore Gabby Galanti and recent graduate Haley Brock tallied two goals in a 10-minute span to earn the hard-fought win.
• The Mids and Terrapins have played one another the last three seasons with Maryland outscoring Navy, 8-0.

Last Time Out

At No. 24 James Madison:

• Freshman forward Clare MacAdam scored the game-winning goal in the 27th minute to defeat No. 24 James Madison, 1-0 Friday in Harrisonburg, Va. at University Park.
• Navy held advantages over James Madison in shots on goal, 7-3 and corner kicks, 5-1. MacAdam tallied her second goal of the season. Senior forward Caprice Kelty recorded her first assist of the 2014 season on MacAdam's goal.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Dayton Wetherby played her best game in net, tallying three saves to record her first collegiate shutout in her seventh career game as a starter. Wetherby has tallied 19 saves in five games and lowered her goals-against average from 1.07 to 0.85.
• Navy found the back of the net first in the 27th minute from MacAdam. Navy's Kelty sent a cross into the 18-yard box, which bounced off a James Madison defender and found the foot of MacAdam. The freshman forward volleyed her shot from 15 yards out to the top corner of the net for the score.

Road Warriors
• Navy began its 2014 slate with five matches on the road. The Mids battled with UMBC and UConn on opening weekend. Navy lost two one-goal games, 1-0 at UMBC and 2-1 at UConn.
• Navy then continued with two matches in Florida, tying with USF, 1-1 and concluded with a 3-1 win over Stetson.
• The Mids finished their five-game road trip with an impressive 1-0 win over No. 24 James Madison.
• Navy is 112-78-19 all-time when it plays away from home. The Mids were 5-2 on the road in 2013 and are currently 2-2-1.

Knocking Off The Best

• Navy recorded its second win over a top-25 team in program history with a 1-0 win over No. 24 James Madison.
• The Mids now own a 2-14-1 record against top-25 programs. Navy earned its first win over then-No. 9 Penn State, 1-0 on Oct. 26, 2006. Navy then went on to tie then-No. 20 William & Mary, 0-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Mids advanced on penalty kicks.

Freshman Firsts

• Navy freshman have been busy through five games, tallying six points on two goals and two assists.
• Forward MacAdam paces all Navy freshmen with two goals, including the game winner over No. 24 James Madison. The Mids are 2-0 when MacAdam records a goal.
• Forward Natalie Dzhandzhapanyan has recorded two assists, one against UConn and one against Stetson.

Preseason Patriot League Poll
• Navy received 148 points and five of the 20 possible first place votes, 11 points shy of Boston University's 159 total points. The Terriers also garnered the 15 of the 20 first-place votes.
• Colgate is third with 131 points and Amry is fourth with 101. Following Army is American, Bucknell. Lehigh, Loyola, Holy Cross and Lafayette rounds out the poll, which is voted on by the league's head coaches and sports information contacts.
• Navy was 16-5 in 2013 and won the Patriot League Regular Season title with an 8-1 mark. Navy will open the 2014 regular season on the road on Friday at UMBC.
