CENTER VALLEY, Pa. â€"â€" Navy's Marlin Brutkiewicz (Jr., Mobile, Ala.) was announced Monday as this week's Patriot League Men's Swimmer of the Week by the league office. This is the second time he has garnered the accolade in his career.

Brutkiewicz earned the laurel based upon his efforts in helping Navy to a 158-134 victory over UMBC Friday evening in Baltimore. He began the meet by swimming the breaststroke leg on Navy's victorious 200 medley relay team. He would go on to sweep both breaststroke events during the meet. Brutkiewicz posted a time of 56.58 to win the 100 breast by two seconds, then touched the wall in a time of 2:04.76 to win the 200 breast by over four seconds.

His two victories against the Retrievers gave him eight wins in as many breaststroke events this season.

Navy will play host to Princeton Saturday at 11 a.m. in Lejeune Hall.
