WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Navy women's golf team fired a 54-hole total of 961 (319-322-320; +97) to place seventh out of 16 teams at the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill Resort this past Monday and Tuesday. Navy's three-round total of 961 at the par 72, 5,962-yard Plantation Course is a new school record, eclipsing the previous mark of 973.

"The team played really well in all three rounds," said head coach Nadia Ste-Marie. "We are starting to reap the benefits from all the training we did this winter. The team stayed focused and engaged throughout the tournament and I am very proud of them. We are moving in the right direction as we head towards the Patriot League Championship three weeks from now."

Freshman Kellyanne Hurst was one shot behind Moon and tied for 29th place with her overall score of 239 (80-77-82; +23). Hurst's 54-hole total of 239 is the best of her rookie season.
