ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy men's soccer team (2-1-1) will play at Longwood (1-1-0) on Friday at 7:00 PM at the Athletics Complex in Farmville, Virginia. Free live video and live statistics will be available.

Navy is coming off a strong 3-0 win over Big Ten-member Ohio State on Sunday at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. Three different Midshipmen scored for Navy and senior Jackson Morgan posted his second shutout of the season. Sophomore Aubrey Jones opened the scoring in the 36th minute and seniors Derek Vogel and Thomas Shiiba added goals in the final 15 minutes.

Jones, this week's NAAA Athlete of the Week, scored goals in both of Navy's games last weekend and he is tied with Vogel with a team-high two goals. Vogel has a team-best five points this season and sophomore Thomas Moore has four points on one goal and two assists.

Morgan is 2-1-1 this season with a 0.94 goals-against average and a .765 save percentage.

Navy has won each of the last two meetings with Longwood, including a 3-0 win in 2014 and a 2-0 win in 2012 in Farmville. The all-time series is tied at 3-3.

In Navy's 2-0 win in Annapolis last season, Jamie Dubyoski and Grant Valenstein scored the goals and Morgan needed to make just one save for the shutout. Navy outshot Longwood, 24-7 and had a 9-1 edge in shots on goal.

Longwood defeated VMI, 4-1, in its season opener and the Lancers most recently fell to UNCG, 3-1.

Redshirt freshman forward Willy Miezan leads the team with four goals and he scored a hat trick in the win over VMI. He was named the Big South Attacker of the Week on Aug. 31 for his performance against VMI.

Longwood was 4-14-1 overall in 2014 and 3-6-0 in the Big South.

Navy is currently receiving votes in the NSCAA Top 25 Poll and is ranked No. 2 in the NSCAA Northeast Region Poll.

Navy will next play at No. 4 Maryland on Monday at 7 PM. Navy defeated then-No. 10 Maryland last season in Annapolis, 2-1.
