ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy men's soccer team (4-8-3, 0-5-1 PL) will host first-place American (8-5-3, 5-1-0 PL) on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. Live statistics and live video will be available with Pete Medhurst handling play-by-play duties.

Navy is coming off a 1-0 loss at Colgate on Saturday. The Raiders scored the game's lone goal in the 38th minute. Navy fell to 1-6-0 in road games this season.

The Mids have fared much better at home this season with their 3-1-2 mark at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.

The Mids earned a 2-1 win over UMBC in their last home game last Tuesday. Senior Sam Bascom and freshman Andrew Hopkins scored for Navy and goalkeeper Mac Burke made two saves.

Bascom is Navy's leader in total points (8) and goals (3) this season while Hopkins leads the team in game-winning goals (2). Sophomores Daniel Kwon and Ericson Bean have each scored two goals as well for the Mids.

Burke carries a 1.08 goals-against average, a .770 save percentage and has three shutouts in 2016. Burke ranks third in the Patriot League in goals-against average.

Bascom ranks fourth at Navy in career games played with 73 and his next game will tie 2014 graduate Dave Arnold for third place with 74.

American moved into first place with three points from its 3-2 overtime win over Bucknell on Saturday. The Eagles jumped over Loyola, who received one point from its 2-2 tie with Army. American (15 points) and Loyola (14) are joined by Colgate (13) and Army (10) in the top four of the Patriot League standings.

Danny Kaiser scored just 42 seconds into the first overtime period against Bucknell on Saturday to give American the Golden Goal victory. Joel Hart and Panos Nakhid also tallied goals for the Eagles.

Joe Iraola leads American with 15 points on six goals and three assists, while Nakhid is second on the team with 10 points on two goals and six assists.

American leads the Patriot League in scoring average at 1.9 goals per contest.

Goalkeeper Lucas Belanger is 8-5-3 with a 1.33 goals-against average and a .735 save percentage. He also has four shutouts this season.

American is the first team listed as 'also receiving votes' in this week's NSCAA Top 25 Poll.

American defeated Navy last season, 3-0, to take a 11-10-7 lead in the all-time series. Navy had won back-to-back games in the series before the loss in Washington, D.C. last fall.

Navy will next host Lafayette (6-7-2, 2-3-1 PL) on Saturday at 7:00 PM in its final home game of the regular season. Navy's final regular season game of the season is next Friday, Nov. 4 at Boston U. (5-6-2, 1-3-2 PL) at 7:00 PM.

Parking / Shuttle Information
Fans are reminded that the general public does not have access to drive their vehicles on to the U.S. Naval Academy. Fans may park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for $5 and take a shuttle that will run every 10 minutes starting at 6:00 PM, one hour prior to the game and will continue running until one hour after the game is completed. Fans 18 and over need a government-issued photo ID. Enter Gate 5 off Taylor Ave. to park at the stadium. Dogs are not permitted inside the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
