ANNAPOLIS, Maryland - The 14th-ranked Navy squash team regrouped from a midweek loss (7-2) against #9 Drexel and put together a 5-0 record over the weekend at the Navy Round Robin. The Mids scored 9-0 sweeps against #26 MIT, Georgetown, #22 Hobart, Bucknell and Denison to improve to 12-1 on the year.

Freshmen Owen Davis (Rydal, Pa.) and Michael Kacergis (Malvern, Pa.) were the lone players to see action in all five matches as head coach Craig Dawson moved around the lineups throughout the weekend. Kacergis stands atop the Mids' leader board with a 13-0 record and is one of two regulars on the ladder who remains unbeaten. Meanwhile, Davis boasts at 12-1 record with his lone loss this season to his Drexel foe last week.

Seven players put together 4-0 marks over the weekend, including senior team captain Randy Beck (Lafayette Hill, Pa), who, like Kacergis, is undefeated. Beck is now 11-0 this season and behind his four victories over the weekend, he moved into a tie for 15th on Navy's all-timne wins list with a 62-25 record.

Jack Herold (Jr. / Chicago, Ill.) earned national player of the week honors this past week and continued to flourish throughout the weekend with a 4-0 mark. Herold owns an 11-1 record as the Mids' #1 player on the ladder. Additionally, he is inching his way towards the 50-win plateau with his 43-17 mark.

Also winning four matches over the weekend were sophomores Senen Ubina (Greenwich, Conn.), Dylan Sweeney (New York, N.Y.), Jamie Kjorlien (Greenwich, Conn.) and Alex Patricolo (Southampton, N.Y.), along with senior Will Walker (Scarborough, N.Y.). It marked the first ladder action for Patricolo this season.

Reed Whitney (Sr / Ladue, Mo.) posted a 3-0 mark over the weekend and moved into a tie for 23rd on Navy's wins list, recording a 53-31 mark in four seasons.

Greg Hyer (Jr / Tenafly, N.J.), who has been on the cusp of breaking into the Mids' top nine, saw action in three matches over the weekend. He stands 5-0 this season and 10-0 over his career.

The Mids will play their final two matches of the calendar year on consecutive days with a Dec. 3 match at #15 Middlebury (12:00 pm), followed by a Dec. 4 battle at #8 Dartmouth (4:00 pm).
