Nov. 3, 2016 ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- For the third time in the last four seasons, the Navy women's soccer team (9-10-2) and Boston University (8-10-1) will clash in the Patriot League Tournament as both teams will aim for a chance to compete in the championship match on Friday at 7 p.m. in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.

Macklin's Deja Vu
• It only took four minutes into the Patriot League Quarterfinal match before Navy put its first goal on the scoreboard against Colgate. The Mids' first tally came off the foot of senior defender Cat Macklin, which came on a curling shot from the corner of the 18-yard box to the far post.
• Macklin's goal stood as the game winner as Navy went on to win 2-0 to advance to the Patriot League Semifinal.
• Macklin is no stranger to scoring the eventual game-winning goal against Colgate as she tallied Navy's lone score in its 1-0 victory against the Raiders on Oct. 5, 2013. The then-freshman forward recorded the match's lone goal in the 33rd minute.
Lovely Lewisburg
• For the fourth time in program history, Navy will travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania for the league's semifinal and championship round.
• The Mids have had success playing at Lewisburg in the Patriot League Tournament, owning a 5-1 all-time record.
• Of Navy's three Patriot League titles, two of which have been won in Lewisburg (2006 & 2007).
• Navy has posted a shutout in all five of its wins in Lewisburg during the league tournament.
• All three of Navy's semifinal matches in Lewisburg ended 2-0, as the Mids defeated Bucknell, 2-0 in 1995, Lehigh, 2-0 in 2006 and American, 2-0, in 2007.
Last Time Out
• Navy women's soccer senior Cat Macklin (McLean, Va.) and sophomore Ash Fairow (Asheville, N.C.) each tallied a goal to lift fifth-seeded Navy past fourth-seeded Colgate, 2-0, in Tuesday night's Patriot League Quarterfinals at Hamilton, New York. Navy will face second-seed Boston University on Friday at 7 p.m. in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
• Navy (9-10-2) wasted very little time getting on the scoreboard, tallying the first goal of the match in the fourth minute. Fairow sent in a long throw in from the far sidelines into the box, where a scrum of players fought for the ball and sent it dribbling toward the top of the 18-yard box. Macklin took one touch, sent a curling shot from the corner of the box and beat Colgate goalkeeper Kelly Chiavaro to the far post for her second goal of the season.
• Navy then put the match away in the 75th minute. The Mids earned a corner kick and junior Megan Rogers (Orange Park, Fla.) was given the honor to take the kick. Rogers swung her kick to the near post, where teammate Fairow, who was unmarked and facing with her back to the net, flicked the pass with her head backwards for her second tally of the season.
• Colgate held slight statistical advantages over Navy in shots, 19-17, and corner kicks, 5-3, while both teams had five shots on goal.
• Wetherby posted her first career postseason solo shutout, blanking the Raiders offense with five saves.
• Macklin recorded her first career postseason goal, while Fairow tallied her third career postseason score.
Scouting Boston University
• After going 0-9-1 with one of the nation's toughest nonconference schedules, Boston University ended the regular-season tied atop the league standings with Bucknell at 8-1.
• Seven of the Terriers' 10 nonconference opponents currently sit in the nation's top-100 RPI out of 334 Division I programs. Boston University earned its best nonconference result against in-state rival Harvard (54th in RPI) with a 2-2 double-overtime tie.
• Following a league-opening loss to Bucknell, 2-0, in Lewisburg, the Terriers are unbeaten in their last nine matches and have outscored their opponent, 18-5, which includes five shutouts.
• Boston University clinched a spot in the Patriot League semifinals for the fourth-straight season.
• The Terriers' offense has found contributions from many different players, as seven Terriers have at least two goals and one game-winning goal. Jesse Shreck leads the team with nine points on three goals and three assists. Shreck and Erica Kosienski have a team-high three assists, while three other Terriers have two helpers.
• Bridget Conway has led the way for Boston University in net during league play, starting all nine matches. Conway owns a 0.78 goals-against average with an .781 save percentage.

• The Terriers are 2-0 against the Mids in Boston, recording a 1-0 shutout on Sept. 20, 2014 and followed up with a 2-0 shutout on Oct. 29.
• Navy and Boston have faced one another in the Patriot League Tournament twice in the last three seasons since the Terriers entered the league in 2013.
• The Terriers have not allowed a goal against Navy since the 43rd minute of the regular-season meeting back on Sept. 20, 2013, which currently spans 497:58.
