CENTER VALLEY, Pa. â€"â€" Members of the Navy swimming and diving teams accounted for nearly half of the All-Patriot League honorees for the sport that were announced Wednesday by the league office. The Navy programs, which swept the league crows for the fifth year in a row, garnered a combined 33 awards while the remainder of the league schools received a total of 40 laurels.

Both the first and second teams consist of 18 members, with more added if there are any ties. All individual event champions automatically earn first-team recognition, with the remaining first-team positions filled based upon individual event points scored during the championship. All individual event second-place swimmers and divers not already appearing on the first team are then placed onto the second team. The second team also is rounded out by the next highest individual event point tallies.

Navy's women's team received 11 first-team nods, with five of them by virtue of winning an event title. Both Patriot League Women's Swimmer of the Year Kenzie Margroum (Jr., Fort Thomas, Ky.) and league women's rookie (freshman) of the year Lauren Barber (Fr., New Wilmington, Pa.) claimed three event wins during the meet. Margroum won the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle events, while Barber took both breaststroke event crowns as well as the 200 individual medley title. Rachael Dudley (Sr., Hoschton, Ga.) also brought home a pair of event titles as she won both butterfly events. Rounding out the event winners were Kaitlyn O'Reilly (So., Farmington, Minn.) in the 400 individual medley event and Julie Jesse (Sr., Edwardsburg, Mich.) on the three-meter diving board.

Also earning first-team honors were Ellen Bradford (Sr., Knoxville, Tenn.), Hanna Gillcrist (Jr., Burlington, Ky.), Ally Warnimont (Fr., Winston-Salem, N.C.), Casey Lawson (Fr., Spring Lake Heights, N.J.), Emily Ranzau (So., Johns Creek, Ga.) and Jenny Smith (So., Columbus, Ohio).

Both Dudley and Bradford received first-team accolades in each of their four seasons, Gillcrist has earned a first-team nod three times and Smith has garnered all-league laurels in each of her two seasons.

Navy's second-team all-league recipients were Maddi Thompson (Sr., Jersey Shore, Pa.), who was a four-year all-league honoree, Biz Graeff (So., Canton, Ohio), Amanda Zerphy (Jr., Allentown, Pa.), Hannah Briant (Fr., Brielle, N.J.) and Sara Lopez (Jr., Lenaxa, Kan.).

Navy's men's team placed 10 of its athletes on the first team, with seven of them earning their way onto the squad by winning an individual event. This includes double-event winners Noah Martin (Sr., San Tan Valley, Ariz.), 500 free and 1650 free, and Jonathan Debaugh (Sr., Conroe, Texas), both butterfly titles. Also being named to the first team was men's diver of the year Joe Kaszubowski (Fr., Whitefish Bay, Wis.), who won the three-meter title. Additionally, Tom Duvall (Sr., Durham, N.H.) won the 200 freestyle, David Carlson (Sr., Brielle, N.J.) won the 100 backstroke, Nate Belch (So., Tucson, Ariz.) won the one-meter diving board and Marlin Brutkiewicz (Jr., Mobile, Ala.) was the 200 breaststroke champion.

Joining them on the first team were teammates Joseph Jaime (So., San Antonio, Texas), Brayden Lauffer (Fr., Apex, N.C.) and Alex Nickell (Sr., Loveland, Colo.).

Debaugh and Nickell were four-time first-team honorees, Duvall earned a first-team nod for the third time and Martin received all-league accolades in each of his final three seasons.

Earning their way onto the league's second team were Ryan Bailey (Jr., Youngstown, Ohio), Morgan De Jong (Jr., Winchester, Va.), Kenny Parker (So., Manassas, Va.), Connor Davis (So., Shelton, Conn.), Frank Love (Sr., Atlanta, Ga.) and Zach Piedt (Fr., Fort Mill, S.C.).
