Sept. 21, 2016 ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy men's gymnastics program under the leadership of head coach Kip Simons is proud to announce that it will be hosting the first-ever Navy Gymnastics Challenge event for junior gymnasts throughout the weekend of January 21-22. The weekend will also feature the 2017 Navy Open collegiate competition between, Navy, Springfield, Temple and William & Mary on Saturday afternoon, January 21.
The 2017 Navy Gymnastics Challenge will be a unique opportunity for junior gymnasts from around the country to visit beautiful Annapolis, Maryland while showcasing their routines in Macdonough Hall on the campus of the United States Naval Academy. The event will see competition for junior gymnasts, levels 4-10, on the Midshipmen's brand new AAI equipment throughout the weekend of January 21-22. There will be individual and team awards handed out to the top finishers while also providing instructional clinics for coaches and athletes.

"This will be a unique opportunity for coaches and athletes to showcase hard work while participating in instructional coach and athlete clinics throughout the weekend. Hosting the Navy Gymnastics Challenge will bring many of our country's finest gymnasts to the Naval Academy and I look forward to developing NGC into one of the nation's finest open events."
