March 28, 2017 DANBURY, Conn. - The Navy gymnastics program took home another Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) weekly award on Tuesday as Noah Beeman (Jr., Dayton, Ohio) was selected as the conference's Corvias Men's Gymnast of the Week for his efforts at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championship on Friday.
In the Mids' first postseason competition of 2017, Beeman suited up for Navy in all six events as one of eight varsity and 14 total gymnasts in the all-around. The junior finished second in the varsity division and third overall with 77.7 cumulative points. Among his six individual events, Beeman ranked in the top-15 on four apparatuses. Beeman tied for eighth on the vault with a 14.1, 11th on the floor exercise with a 13.5, 13th on the pommel horse at 12.3 and 13th on the parallel bars at 13.1. Over 40 gymnasts were competing in each event on Friday night.
This is Beeman's third career ECAC weekly accolade as he was selected as the Coaches' Choice Gymnast of the Week on Feb. 2, 2016 and Rookie of the Week on Jan. 20, 2015. As a program, this is the 11th ECAC weekly award for Navy in 2017.

The Midshipmen will be off from competition this weekend before heading to Chicago for the ECAC Championships on Saturday, April 8. The one-day meet is slated to begin at 3:00 p.m. ET.
