| Box Score 3 ANNAPOLIS, Md. –– Three freshmen on the Navy men's tennis team won singles flights at the Navy Blue Invitational that came to an end Sunday in Annapolis.
 
Derrick Thompson (Fr., Towson, Md.) posted a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Georgetown's Ryan Navarro to win the B flight.  Jack Dabek (Fr., Dublin, Ohio) also won his singles flight with a straight-set victory in the final.  He recorded a 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) win over Georgetown's Charlie Sharton in the D flight final.
 
Additionally, Jack McBride (Fr., Chapel Hill, N.C.) won the C flight when his scheduled opponent defaulted before the final began.
 
Some of the singles and doubles flights were not played out due to Sunday's rain in Annapolis.
 
Navy's fall season continues this week when several members of the team take part in the ITA Regional Championship starting Thursday in Blacksburg, Va.
