Setting the Stage
•   Navy and #11 UCF will meet for the second time in series history and for the first time in Orlando when they square off on Saturday afternoon at Spectrum Stadium (45,301). Kickoff is set for 12 noon and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
•   UCF won the only matchup between the two schools last year in Annapolis, 31-21.
•   UCF enters Saturday's game with the nation's longest winning streak at 21 games. The Knights' last lost on Dec. 17, 2016, in a 31-13 decision to Arkansas State in the Cure Bowl.
•   Navy has lost six consecutive games for the first time since 2011. The 2011 team turned it around by winning three of its final four games including a 27-21 victory over Army.
•   The last time Navy had a six-game losing streak (2011), the Mids went on to win 39 of their next 56 games. Â
•    The Mids have lost 10 consecutive games away from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. Navy last won away from home on Sept. 30, 2017 (31-21 over Tulsa).
•    Navy's last trip to Florida was a memorable one, as the Mids defeated Notre Dame, 28-27, on Nov. 5, 2016, in Jacksonville.
•   The Navy Football Insider Show will air on Thursday at 7:00 pm on WBAL Radio (1090 AM) with host Joe Miller. Pete Medhurst and Tom O'Brien will also contribute to the broadcast.
•   The Navy Football Tailgate Show on WNAV Radio 1430 AM / 99.9 FM will air at 10:00 AM on Saturday with Wylie Baker and Bill Lusby.
•   The Navy Football Pregame Show with Tim Murray, Pete Medhurst, Tom O'Brien and Joe Miller will get underway at 11:00 AM on the Navy Radio Network, followed by game action beginning at 12:00 PM with Medhurst, O'Brien and Miller on the call on the Navy Radio Network. Â
•   Following the contest, Medhurst, O'Brien, Miller and Murray will recap the day's events in a 30-minute postgame show.
Mids Face Daunting Schedule
•   Navy is in the midst of playing four opponents (Houston, #3 Notre Dame, #23 Cincinnati and #11 UCF) that are a combined 32-3 (.914) on the year. Of the four remaining undefeated teams in the country, Navy plays two of them (lost to Notre Dame in San Diego, at UCF on Saturday).

•   Navy has five players from the state of Florida, led by second-team freshman outside linebacker
Diego Fagot (Coral Springs). Also from Florida are sophomore outside linebacker
Dallas Jeanty (Ft. Lauderdale), freshman linebacker
Jack Lundgren (Ponte Vedra Beach), sophomore offensive tackle
Bradley Osborne (Daytona Beach) and junior slot back
Mason Plante (Windermere).
Scouting UCF
•   The #11 Knights enter Saturday's game with an 8-0 record, including a 5-0 mark in the American Athletic Conference East Division. Â
•   UCF owns victories over Connecticut (56-17), South Carolina State (38-0), Florida Atlantic (56-36), Pitt (45-14), SMU (48-20), Memphis (31-30), East Carolina (37-10) and Temple (52-40).
•   The Knights are led by quarterback McKenzie Milton, who has completed 136 of 233 pass attempts for 2,109 yards with 19 touchdowns and five interceptions. He has also rushed for 572 yards and three touchdowns. Milton was highly recruited by Navy and his final two schools were UCF and Navy. Milton ranks third in passing yards per completion (15.51), third in points responsible for per game (22.3) seventh in total offense (333.1), ninth in passing yards per attempt (9.05), 10th in passing yards per game (301.3), 17th nationally in passing efficiency (157.0) and 17th in passing touchdowns.
•   Greg McCrae, a transfer from the Naval Academy Prep School, leads UCF in rushing with 572 yards and three touchdowns on just 59 attempts (9.7 yds/carry). Adrian Killins has rushed for 463 yards and four touchdowns on 100 carries. Killins is 23rd in the country in all-purpose yards, averaging 125.38 per game.
•    Gabriel Davis leads the UCF receiving corps with 35 catches for 556 yards and five touchdowns. Tre Nixon has 31 catches for 403 yards and three touchdowns. Eight different UCF receivers have caught touchdown passes this year.
•   Field goal kicker Matthew Wright has made nine out of 10 field goals. Wright is eighth in the nation in field goal percentage and 10th in scoring (9.4). Â
•   The UCF defense is led by Richie Grant (65 tackles, four interceptions), Titus Davis (10.5 tackles for a loss, three sacks), Brendon Hayes (three sacks), Trysten Hill (three sacks), Nevelle Clarke (eight pass breakups), Nate Evans (two fumble recoveries) and Rashard Causey (three forced fumbles). Causey is ninth in the nation in forced fumbles, Evans is 13th in the nation in fumble recoveries, Clarke is 24th in passes defended and Grant is fourth in interceptions.
•   The UCF offense is ranked second in turnover margin (+1.75), second in the nation in fumbles lost (1), third in turnovers lost (6), third in total offense (548.8), fifth in rushing offense (268.3), sixth in scoring offense (45.4), 11th in third down conversions (.486), 11th in passing yards per completion (14.67), 12th in tackles for a loss allowed (4.13 per game), 12th in fourth down conversions (.692), 14th in red zone offense (.919), 18th in first downs (223), 18th in sacks allowed (1.13) and 24th in passing offense (280.5 yards per game).
•   The UCF defense is ranked fifth in tackles for a loss (8.6 per game), eighth in turnovers gained (20), 15th in red zone defense (.731), 15th in fumbles recovered (nine), 21st in defensive touchdowns (two), 21st in interceptions (11) and 24th in scoring defense (20.9).
Navy Wins Against Ranked Opponents
•   Navy's 46-40 win over No. 6/5 Houston in 2016 marked the second straight year the Mids knocked off a nationally-ranked opponent after they dealt No. 15/16 Memphis a 45-20 loss in 2015. Â
•   Navy's win over Houston marked the first time the Mids had defeated an AP top 10 team since Nov. 17, 1984, when it shocked No. 2 South Carolina, 38-21. Â
•   Navy's 2015 win over Memphis, meanwhile, was its first road win over an AP top 20 team since Nov. 7, 2009, when Navy knocked off #19 Notre Dame, 23-21, in South Bend. Navy has not beaten a Top 10 team on the road since Sept. 21, 1974, when the Mids won at State College over #8 Penn State, 7-6.
•   Navy has not beaten more than one ranked team in a season since 1957, when it defeated No. 5 Notre Dame (20-6), No. 10 Army (27-20) and No. 8 Rice (20-7) in the Cotton Bowl.
•   Navy has not beaten a ranked opponent in three straight years since 1941-45 when the Mids did it five years in a row.
Causing Turnovers
•   Navy has forced at least one turnover in 46 of its last 55 games. During that 55-game span, the Mids have forced 87 turnovers (41 interceptions and 46 fumble recoveries).
•   The Mids caused five turnovers in its 51-21 win over Lehigh (three interceptions and two fumbles). It is the first time the Mids have forced five or more turnovers in a game since Sept. 10, 2011, when Navy forced five against Western Kentucky in a 40-14 win.
•   The defense has forced 17 turnovers in nine games this year after forcing just 16 turnovers in 13 games last year. The 17 forced turnovers are tied for the 23rd most in the country. Â
Mids Perfect in the Red Zone
•   The Navy offense is a perfect 25-for-25 in the red zone this year, scoring 21 touchdowns and kicking four field goals.
•   Navy is one of two teams that is perfect in the red zone in 2018.
