CENTER VALLEY, Pa. –– Navy's
John Carter Jr. (Fr., Spring Hill, Tenn.) earned his second Patriot League Rookie-of-the-Week honor of the season when the league announced him as the recipient of this week's men's basketball award on Monday.
Carter averaged 13.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists a game on the week. He first tallied nine points, eight rebounds and four assists in Navy's victory at Delaware. Carter then produced a season-best 17 points to go along with four rebounds and two assists in the team's loss at Lipscomb. Aiding his scoring production was an 11-of-12 effort from the foul line over the course of the two games.
Carter previous garnered the accolade on Nov. 19. He is the first Mid to have been tabbed as the rookie of the week multiple times in a season since Tillman Dunbar earned four awards during the 2012-13 season.
