CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Patriot League announced the 2018 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for women's rowing and the Navy program was recognized with 26 honorees. Open to student-athletes from all four academic classes, the Mids'
Isabelle Babb and
Maeve Broeg led the way as the duo garnered accolades for the fourth straight year. Additionally, six Mids turned in 4.00 GPAs during the spring semester at the Naval Academy.
To be eligible for the spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
Megan Hanson, the 2018 Patriot League Women's Rowing Scholar-Athlete of the Year, was one of 29 total Patriot League student-athletes to record perfect 4.00 GPAs. The mathematics with economics major was joined by teammates
Mady Malczynski,
Lexi Mendolia,
Eleonore Porter,
Sam Stearns and Babb in the 4.00 grouping.
Overall, 13 Mids are now multi-time honorees. In addition to Babb and Broeg earning the academic accolade four times, the seven-person group of Hanson, Malczynski, Mendolia,
Victoria Meyer,
Anna Paz, Porter and
Lauren Schrock are three-time award winners.

Bethany Spangler are two-time honorees.
Babb and Broeg are the 16
th and 17
th Midshipmen in Navy women's rowing history to garner academic accolades from the Patriot League in all four years of competition.
The 26 student-athletes named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll from Navy are the second-most in program history matching the 2016 team. The all-time mark is 29 set in 2017.
In total, 239 student-athletes from the Patriot League's nine rowing institutions were named to this year's honor roll.
