Navy Announces 2018 Football Recruiting Class
ANNAPOLIS, Md.--Navy head football coach
Ken Niumatalolo released the names of the 2018 football recruiting class on Monday afternoon. Fifty-six prospects representing 19 states and the District of Columbia went through induction ceremonies on Thursday, June 28 and began plebe summer.
Tennessee was the most productive state for the Mids with eight prospects, while California was next with seven. New Jersey (five), Virginia (five), Texas (four), Georgia (four), Alabama (four), Pennsylvania (two), Maryland (two), New York (two), Florida (two), Michigan (two) and Illinois (two) all produced multiple players. Navy also got one player each from the states of Kentucky, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, Wisconsin and Mississippi as well as the District of Columbia.

Navy opens the 2018 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 1 at Hawai'i. Navy's home opener is the following Saturday (Sept. 8) against defending American Athletic Conference West Division champion Memphis. Navy also plays host to Lehigh (Sept. 15), Temple (Oct. 13), Houston (Oct. 20) and Tulsa (Nov. 17) at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
The Navy-Notre Dame game presented by Navy Federal and Navy Mutual will be played Saturday, Oct. 27 at San Diego County Credit Union Stadium in San Diego, while the Army-Navy Game presented by USAA will be played at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, Dec. 8.
