Weekly Rewind
• Navy squash opened its 72nd season as a varsity program last weekend when it traveled to Toronto, Ontario to battle 15th-ranked Western Ontario.
• It was just the second time in program history that Navy has played a match in Canada. The Mids made their inaugural trip to Ontario in 2017 where they dropped a 5-4 heartbreaker.
• The Mustangs once again came out on top, dealing Navy an 8-1 loss.
• The Mids' lone victory in the match was by junior
Jack Lentz, Navy's No. 1 player, who dispatched his Western Ontario foe in three games.
• Senior
Owen Davis came up just short in his match against David Mill at the No. 3 spot, dropping a five-game match.
What's Ahead
• Navy will make a mid-week trip to Charlottesville, Va. on Wednesday where they will battle ninth-ranked Virginia at 5:30 pm.
• Last year's match in Annapolis was a nail-biter, going down to the final match of the afternoon. Navy held a 4-3 advantage with two matches left, but a Cavalier win in five games at the No. 5 spot led to a 4-4 tie with one remaining match.
Jack Lentz went on to seal the Navy victory (5-4) by way of a 3-1 win over UVA's Patrick McElroy at the No. 1 position.
