Tipping Off
• Navy will open its 29th Patriot League season Thursday night.  The Mids have posted an 8-7 record when their first league game of a season is played in Annapolis.  Navy will face Lehigh in its league opener for the first time since 2004 and for the first time in Annapolis since 2003.

• Navy and Lehigh have split the last six games in the series.  This includes the Mountain Hawks winning both 2019 meetings and the Mids winning each game in 2018.

• The last six Navy-Lehigh games played in Annapolis have been decided by a total of 26 points (4.3 ppg).  Five of the six games during this span have been decided by no more than six points.

• Only six current Navy players have taken to the court in a game against Lehigh, with just four of those players scoring at least one point.  Evan Wieck leads the Mids with 50 points and 28 rebounds against the Mountain Hawks.

• Navy narrowly lost the rebounding battle to Virginia on Sunday, 28-26.  It was the first time this season the Mids have totaled fewer rebounds than their opponent.

• There were only 56 possessions in Sunday's game between the Mids and the Cavaliers which makes sense seeing as how the teams rank as the two most deliberate squads in the country.
