ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy track and field team travels to West Point, N.Y. to take on Army West Point in the annual Indoor Star Meet as part of the Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA. The meet begins on Saturday morning with field events beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Gillis Field House, while running events are slated to begin at noon.
Live results will be available throughout the meet. In addition, the meet will be live streamed on the Patriot League Network beginning at noon.

The Series
On the men's side, Navy holds a 31-26-2 overall indoor advantage against Army, but is 11-17 in West Point. The men's team has won six of the last seven meetings between the two teams with the last loss coming in West Point (2017). On the women's side, the Black Knights hold a slight 16-15-1 advantage over the Midshipmen and a 9-7 edge in West Point. Navy has dropped the last four meetings, but had won the previous nine meetings in a row dating back to 2006.

Eric Hughey (Lee's Summit, Mo.) and freshman
Clayton Turner (Bartlett, Tenn.) were named M-F Athletic Indoor Patriot League Track Athlete of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. The duo were recognized for their performance in the Navy Invitational against Delaware, Lehigh, Maryland, Morgan State, Towson, and Wesley College.
Hughey won the only event he competed in this weekend with an IC4A qualifying time of 47.99 in the 400m dash. His time was 0.42 seconds shy of breaking the sophomore into Navy's all-time top 10 in the event.
Turner posted an IC4A qualifying time in the 800m run, finishing the event in second place with a time of 1:53.77. He finished just 0.47 seconds back of junior
John Finnegan (Spring, Texas) who won the event with an IC4A time of 1:53.30. Turner's time was the second fastest of the year for the Midshipmen.
