David Walker are set to compete at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship, held Wednesday and Friday at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. The meet is hosted by the University of Oregon.

How They Qualified
Smith was the first Navy athlete to secure a spot at the championship. He placed ninth in the 10,000m at the NCAA East Region First Round with a time of 29:06.20 which is the fourth-fastest mark in Navy history.

The 4x400m relay team of Kent, Walker, deJonge and Guillaume punched its ticket to Eugene when it set a school record of 3:04.05 at the East Region First Round. This marks the second time under director of track and field / cross country
Jamie Cook that Navy will send a 4x400m relay team to the NCAA outdoor championship.

Kent also qualified individually in the 400m, breaking his own school record with a time of 45.23 at the NCAA East Region First Round. He previously set the record at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials last June with a time of 45.32. A native of Rocklin, Calif., Kent will make his second-straight appearance in the 400m at the NCAA Championships and becomes the first Navy athlete under Cook to qualify in multiple track events at the national meet.

Kent returns to the national stage in the 400m after he finished 13th last season with a time of 45.85 to earn Second-Team All-America honors. deJonge, Guillaume, Smith and Walker will each be making their NCAA Championship debut.

2025 NCAA Track & Field All-America Criteria
- First-Team All-America: Top-eight finishers in each event, including relays.
- Second-Team All-America: Places ninth-16th in individual events and relays.
- Honorable Mention: Places 17th-24th in individual events and relays.
