Five Starting Notes
• Navy posted an 85-77 victory over Lafayette when the teams met Jan. 16 in Easton, Pa. The Mids scored 53 second-half points to overcome a five-point second half deficit and win the game.
• A combined seven players –– four Mids –– scored in double figures.
John Carter Jr., was 8-8 from the foul line in the second half on his way to scoring 18 points and Justin Jaworski made four triples in scoring 20 points.
• Navy has won four-straight home games against Lafayette over the last three seasons. Each of the last three games have been decided by single digits. This includes a 71-69 Navy win last season.
• This year marks the 99th anniversary of the first Navy-Lafayette game (Jan. 10, 1920). Additionally, the teams have met annually in all but one year (1988-89) since the 1979-80 season.
• Saturday features an Army-Navy doubleheader in Alumni Hall. The women's game will tip at noon and the men's game will follow at 2:30 p.m.
USNA Vehicle Access
Vehicle access to the U.S. Naval Academy is limited to those with a Department of Defense identification card. All other fans must park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium ($5 per vehicle) and ride the free shuttle bus to and from the game. Please enter gate five off of Taylor Avenue. Shuttle bus service will begin at one hour before tip time. Note that a government issued identification card (driver's license) must be carried and presented by visitors ages 18 and older to the USNA prior to being allowed onto The Yard.
Tickets
Tickets remain on sale through the Navy Ticket office in advanced at 1-800-US4-NAVY or by clicking on the TICKETS tab in the masthead of NavySports.com, as well as on the evening of the game at the Alumni Hall box office. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth / seniors. Group tickets (minimum 20) are also available at $5 for adults and $3 for youth/seniors.
