CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Elizabeth Sullivan found herself at the forefront of the Patriot League's Cross Country weekly awards announcement once again as she garnered the league's nod for Female Rookie of the Week. The freshman from Portsmouth, R.I. has had a standout start to her 2019 season as she's collected Patriot League Female Rookie of the Week honors in each of the first three weeks of action. Sullivan earned this week's honor for her effort at the 2019 Navy Invitational.

The top-finishing Mid for the third straight competition to open the 2019 season, Sullivan crossed the finish line in the 6k Navy Invitational race on Saturday with a time of 22:59.10. Racing as part of a field of 65 runners, she finished fifth overall. In the team standings, East Carolina won with a total of 16 points, while Navy finished runner-up with 43 points; UMBC (82) and Millersville (120) rounded out the team scoring.

Sullivan and her Navy teammates will be back in action this Friday afternoon at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown race in Boston, Massachusetts. The women's 5k competition is set for a 3:00 p.m. start.
