Sophomore Linebacker Terrell Adams Named NAAA Athlete of the Week Presented by Northrop Grumman

ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Sophomore linebacker Terrell Adams has been named the NAAA Athlete of the Week presented by Northrop Grumman for his performance in Navy's 31-29 victory over Temple on Saturday night.

Adams, making his first career start, stepped in for injured all-conference linebacker Diego Fagot and delivered a team-high nine tackles and came up with the game's biggest defensive play as he knocked aside what would have been the game-tying two-point conversion with 1:02 remaining. The win moved the Mids to 2-0 in The American and gave head coach Ken Niumatalolo his 100^th career victory.

Navy heads to Greenville, N.C. on Saturday for a key AAC matchup against East Carolina. Kickoff is set for 12 noon and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and the Navy Radio Network.
