The 18th-ranked and second-seeded Navy squash team (8-13) will face seventh-seeded Bowdoin on Friday at 7:00 pm in its quest to win the Summers Cup at the 2020 College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championship held this weekend with Harvard, MIT and Tufts combining as the hosts. Joining the Mids in the Summers Division are (17) Williams, (19) Middlebury, (20) Bates, (21) Colby, (22) Amherst, (23) Bowdoin and (24) Tufts who are vying for the No. 17-24 positions in the tournament.

• After opening the first half of the season with a 6-4 record, the Mids have struggled over the last two months, dropping 8 of their final 10 matches.
• Three of those eight losses were against top 10 teams - #2 Trinity, #5 Drexel and #9 George Washington.
• Navy made its first appearance in a conference championship three weeks ago, defeating Dickinson (9-0) and falling to George Washington (8-1) and MIT (5-4).

Jack Lentz is one of five players who have reached double-digit wins this season, leading the way with a 12-8 mark as the Mids' #1 player on the ladder With a 3-0 sweep over MIT's Aman Sanger at the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championship, he captured his 50th collegiate victory.

Michael Kacergis became just the 22nd player in school history to reach 60 wins when he scored a come-from-behind victory over MIT's Henry Martin at the MASC Championship. Kacergis heads into the CSA Team Championship with a 60-34 record and is tied for 21st on the Mids' all-time wins list alongside Tommy McNamara (2008-11 / 60-20).

Owen Davis, meanwhile, has seen the most success at the CSA Team Championship with his 4-5 record and he is looking to join the Mids' all-time top 25 wins leader board this weekend. He owns a 56-35 mark, needing just one win away from tying Michael Beautyman Jr.'s mark of 57 wins from 2005-09.
More On Bowdoin
• Under the direction of first-year head coach Theo Woodward, Bowdoin put together a 10-8 regular-season record. Among its victories, Bowdoin defeated Summers Cup participants Bates (5-4), Colby (5-4) and Tufts (5-4).
• The Polar Bears head into the weekend having won three of their last four matches, including back-to-back 5-4 wins over Colby and Tufts on Feb. 15 and 16.
• Senior Drew Clark has paced the team in the wins column where he has amassed a 14-3 record playing primarily the #8 spot. Meanwhile, fellow senior Tyler Shonrock stands 12-6 at #3. In total, five of the nine players on the ladder have reach double-figure wins this season.
• Meeting for the first time since 2012, Navy and Bowdoin will play one another for the 41st time in a series that began in 1971.
• The Mids hold a 31-9 advantage and have won each of the last four meetings, including matches at the CSA Team Championship in 2008 and '10.
• Of the 40 previously-played matches, 36 have been played on a neutral court with Navy owning a 27-9 series lead.
• No player on the current Navy roster has played against Bowdoin.
Against the Field
Navy put together a combined 1-1 record against the other seven Summers Division competitors this season, defeating Middlebury (8-1) and losing to Williams (7-2). The Mids did not play Bates, Colby, Amherst, Bowdoin or Tufts. Depending on the outcome of its own match against Bowdoin, Navy will play either the winner or loser of the Middlebury vs. Amherst match on Saturday at 7:00 pm. Harvard is the host site for all of the Summers Division matches.
