ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy women's tennis (12-2) has its final home doubleheader of the season this weekend as it hosts Johns Hopkins (0-0) and Drexel (8-1) on Saturday from the Tose Family Tennis Center. The Midshipmen take on the Blue Jays at 10 a.m. followed by a 2 p.m. contest against the Dragons.
 
Navy carries its seven-match winning streak into the Saturday doubleheader. The Midshipmen's last loss came at the hands of Big Ten foe Indiana in a narrow 4-3 decision. During Navy's winning streak it has captured five victories without dropping a team point. The Midshipmen's 12-2 start this season is tied for their second-best start in program history through 14 matches as Navy also started 12-2 in 2014 and it went 13-1 in 2012.
 
Leading the way for the Midshipmen in singles matches have been the freshman pair of Samantha Choi and Jillian Taggart as each has won 16 matches in their first collegiate seasons. Overall, Navy has 10 different individuals with double-digit singles victories during the first half of the season. In dual matches this spring, Navy has posted a record of 73-11 in singles with Annalise Klopfer leading the team with a record of 8-0 this spring.
 
In doubles, Kaylah Hodge is gearing up to re-write the Navy record books as she is currently tied with Amanda Keller for most career doubles wins in program history with 71 wins apiece. Hodge's next doubles win will put her alone at the top of the program's record book as she currently holds a record of 71-29. In dual competition this season, Navy's doubles teams have combined for a 32-9 overall record with the pair of Klopfer and Aimee Dervishian posting a team-best five wins for the Midshipmen this spring. 
 
Johns Hopkins is set to start its 2020 spring slate this weekend in Annapolis after the Blue Jays posted a 12-11 record during the fall in singles matches and going 14-7 in doubles affairs. The doubles team of Amanda Ruci and Christina Huynh posted a 4-0 mark this fall to lead Johns Hopkins. Last season, the Blue Jays finished 19-4 overall and bowed out of the NCAA Tournament in the Round of 16 to No. 6 Amherst. Johns Hopkins went 10-0 in the Centennial Conference and won the conference tournament to earn their spot in the national tournament.
 
Last season, Navy earned a 5-2 victory over Johns Hopkins to move to 2-0 all-time against the Blue Jays.
 
Drexel is off to a hot start in 2020 and after dropping a 4-3 decision to Rutgers, the Dragons have rattled off eight-straight wins to climb to 8-1 on the year heading into this week's action. Prior to its trip to Annapolis, Drexel will take on Penn on Friday morning. In the spring, the Dragons have dropped just eight singles matches overall with Salma Ziouti pacing the team with an 8-0 record at No. 1 singles. In doubles, Drexel is 20-5 overall in 2020 and Ziouti has partnered with Sarka Richterova for a 7-1 mark at No. 1 doubles.
 
The Midshipmen and Dragons had their season-opening dual canceled to start the 2019 season, but Navy leads the all-time series, 3-0, after the two programs met from 2011-13.
 
Following Saturday's doubleheader, Navy hosts Temple on Saturday, March 7 at 10:30 a.m. before traveling to Florida for its annual Spring Break trip from March 8-12.
