ORLANDO, Fla. – Navy women's tennis (16-2) began its Spring Break trip in Florida with a 6-1 victory against Indiana University of Pennsylvania (5-2) on Sunday night at USTA National Training Center. The Midshipmen have now won their last 11 matches, which is tied for the fourth-longest winning streak in program history.

Navy did not drop a doubles match for the sixth-straight contest and won four singles matches in straight sets.

Casey Accola (Fr., Winter Garden, Fla.) and
Amanda Cyr (Jr., Cary, N.C.) got Navy started with a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles and then
Brooke Bogdanovich (Jr., Suwanee, Ga.) and
Irene Norman (Fr., Aurora, Ohio) paired up to win a 6-2 decision at No. 3 doubles. With the doubles point clinched, the freshmen duo of
Samantha Choi (Warrenville, Ill.) and
Jillian Taggart (Fair Oaks, Calif.) secured the sweep following 6-4 match at the second-seeded doubles match.

In singles competition,
Kacey Moore (So., Wellington, Fla.) rolled to a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Joanna Stralka at No. 1 singles to push the Navy lead to 2-0.
Aimee Dervishian (Sr., Milton, Ga.) gave the Midshipmen a three-point advantage after she beat Idoia Huerta at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-3. The clinching point for Navy came from
Tina Li (Jr., Wexford, Pa.) on court five after she upended Julia Newman, 6-1, 6-2.Â

With the match in hand,
Miranda Deng (Jr., North Potomac, Md.) grabbed a 5-0 lead for Navy after beating Thais Andreotti, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3. The final team point for the Midshipmen came at No. 6 singles with
Danika Kahatapitiya (Sr., Virginia Beach, Va.) winning in a third-set tiebreaker, 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7), against Laura Dunarova. The Crimson Hawks avoided the sweep at No. 2 singles where Katya Minchenkova rallied from a set down to edge out
Katreina Corpuz (So., Ewa Beach, Hawaii), 2-6, 7-6 (8-6), 1-0 (10-8).Â

The Midshipmen now travel to Jacksonville for their only true road match of the week as they take on North Florida on Monday at 4 p.m.
