ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy's offshore sailing team had four boats compete in the Annapolis Yacht Club's Labor Day Regatta on Sunday where the Midshipmen's top finishing boat placed third in the ORC 1 class.

During the one-day event, winds were light to moderate throughout the day and shifty from the south, which allowed three races to be completed.

Katie Boyle led her crew on the Ker 50 Wahoo that finished third in the 10-boat field. Boyle's crew included
Brett Eckert on spinnaker trim,
John Paul Post on bow,
Kelly White on helm,
Elizabeth Hauschild on main trim,
Adrian Schalk on pit,
Katarina Katzarov on jib trim,
Riley Plosica on navigation and pit assist,
Riley Cushing on spinnaker trim assist,
Jared Bouloy on grinder,
Carson Hillier on mast and
Joseph Press as sail master.

Also competing the ORC 1 class was Wasp, skippered by
Paul Jervis, Ranger, skippered by
Nicholas Hogan and Zephyr, skippered by
Matt Gillcrist and finished eighth, ninth and 10th, respectively.

Next up, Navy is set to compete in the NASS Lighthouse Race on Saturday in Annapolis.
